Intellectual Development

Our students will learn key academic skills - like reading, writing and math - to encompass the knowledge and processes associated with intellectual development. As learners and meaning-makers, students take subject-specific concepts and content and transform them into a new understanding.

Goals

  • Improve student success in literacy.
  • Improve student success in numeracy.
Literacy

Our mission is to empower every student to become a confident communicator by developing strong skills in reading, writing, and speaking. We believe literacy is the foundation for lifelong learning and success, and we are committed to creating engaging, inclusive experiences that inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and build the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.

Numeracy

Numeracy is more than just numbers on paper—it’s about understanding math in meaningful, hands-on ways. In our classrooms, students explore mathematical concepts using manipulatives, collaborative problem-solving, and real-world connections. Math is everywhere—in nature, technology, art, and daily life—and we strive to help students notice and appreciate its presence all around them. By making math interactive and relevant, we build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.
