Human and Social Development

Our students will study personal and human social skills and as they relate to students' identity in the world - both as individuals and as members of their community. We are learning that personal and human social skills encompass the abilities students needs to thrive as individuals, to understand and care about themselves and others, and to find and achieve their purposes in the world.

At the start of every school year, we kick things off with a special whole-school field trip to Greendale Acres—a tradition that began when our school first opened and one I’m proud to continue. Parents and guardians are invited to join us, making this a wonderful opportunity for families, students, and staff to connect, build relationships, and foster a true sense of belonging. It’s a joyful way to start the year together and celebrate the strong community that makes our school so special.
