Career Development
Our students will succeed in a much different future from the one we envisioned 10 or 15 years ago. It is our responsibility to prepare all children for success in whatever life path they choose, connecting learning opportunities with future career possibilities. We know that real-life experiences - like community involvement, gaining business knowledge, and hands-on-learning - build better students and life-long citizens.
Goals
- Improve core competencies so students can achieve career/life goals.
- Improve graduation rates.
At our school, we believe in preparing students for the future by giving them opportunities to develop leadership and responsibility. Our Grade 5 students take on meaningful roles, such as organizing and leading our entire Remembrance Day assembly, making morning announcements, assisting in the office during lunch, and setting up the gym for school events. These experiences help them build confidence, teamwork, and organizational skills. Beyond leadership roles, students across all grades contribute by sharing their culture and identity with classmates and taking on classroom responsibilities. These opportunities nurture essential life skills—communication, collaboration, and accountability—that will serve them well beyond elementary school.
